Origin Story

I'm Mariagapi, and from a very young age, I knew I wanted to create my own swimwear line. In 2023, that lifelong dream began to take shape when I designed my first official pieces—designs that would eventually become the very first samples for my brand.

Naming the brand came naturally. I’ve always called myself a moonchild and have been deeply inspired by the beauty and mystery of the moon. That’s how Selínee was born—a name that captures both my spirit and the essence of the brand.

By late 2023, I received my first samples, and in 2024, the ones that would become part of the very first launch. For a full year, I tested each piece carefully—washing them at different temperatures, using tanning oils and sunscreen, making sure they held up beautifully. When everything passed the test, I knew it was time to share my dream with the world.

That dream is now a reality: Selínee Apparel, a swimwear brand built on style, quality, and a commitment to sustainability.
